Directions from Orlando Airport:
(note: while I-4 to Route 44 is more direct, the following route has
much less traffic and usually significantly quicker).
Follow signs for the North Airport Exit to Route 528 (Beeline
Expressway). Get onto 528 East (Cocoa Beach/Kennedy Space
Center). There will be one pay toll of $1.25. Go approximately 26
miles until your see signs for Route 407 (Challenger Memorial
Parkway/I-95 and Kennedy Space Center) which will be a left hand
exit. Continue on Route 407 for 4 miles, and take the exit for I-95
Northbound. Contine 37 miles to exit 249 (Route 44 East to New
Smyrna Beach). Continue on Route 44 past Walmart, over the
two bridges crossing US-1 and the Intercostal Waterway, (do not
follow signs to Route 44 business district). Continue straight until
just past Publix shopping center on your right where the road bends
in two long sweeping righthand curves (Watson Realty on right) and
becomes South Atlantic Avenue (A1A). Continue until the road
narrows from four lanes to two (7-11 store on the right), and go
exactly 1.0 miles until you see a small lighted sign for "Sandcastle"
on your left (will be just opposite a sign for "Sea Woods" on your
right). Turn left into driveway, keeping center beach stairway on
your left, and proceed straight ahead to end of the unpaved driveway.
The house will be directly ahead of you (Townhouse A1).
Directions from all other locations in Florida:
From the North or South:
Take I-95 to Exit 249 East (New Smyrna Beach). Follow directions above.
From the West/Tampa Area:
Take I-4 eastbound to exit 118 (Route 44 east /East New York Ave) towards New Smyrna Beach.
Cross under I-95 and follow directions above.
Rental Car Information:
If arriving in Orlando Airport (MCO), your best bet for a rental car is
with Budget. Go online with them at www.budget.com , and sign up
for their “Fastbreak” program. This will allow you to make your
reservations online, and you can bypass the rental counter and go
directly to the garage across the street to pick up your car with no
additional paperwork. Their rates are competitive with the other
majors, and since they are on the airport grounds, your pick-up and
drop off will be much quicker and easier. Hertz and Avis have
locations outside the airport and require a shuttle back and forth.

The chef is relocated from a highly rated sushi spot in Tampa to open this very
respectable restaurant within walking distance of your house. Service can be
slow but food is worth waiting for.
Bella Valentina - 2560 N. Dixie Freeway (just north of NSB Airport)

Beacon Diner - Flagler Avenue just 1 block from beach. Great cheap diner serving the best breakfast in town.
Start Your Day: You can get great morning coffee at a new gourmet
coffee shop on Flagler Avenue across from the Beacon Diner. Also,
